Hendricks & Grosso Claim GNAC Weekly Accolades

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been announced and a pair of Saint Joseph's College cross country standouts have earned awards.

Sophomore Troy Hendricks (Hiram, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week and freshman Camilla Grosso (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) has garnered GNAC Runner and Rookie of the Week accolades.

Both claim GNAC honors after putting up impressive times in the University of New England Invitational on Saturday. Hendricks led the Monks and finished 12th overall with a 27:07 time in the 8K men's race while Grosso paced the Royal Blue and placed 22nd overall with a 20:39 time in the 5K women's event.

For Hendricks, the GNAC weekly award is the third of his career. The conference honor is a career-first for Grosso.

Saint Joseph's will compete in the UMass.-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday.
