Jordan Tabbed as GNAC Player of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph's College senior third baseman Kim Jordan (Bangor, Maine) has collected Softball Player of the Week accolades.

Jordan hit .625 (5-8) with four runs, a double, a triple and two RBI in wins over Dominican and Wisconsin-Lutheran in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Fort Myers, Florida on Sunday afternoon. She posted a .668 OBP and an even 1.000 slugging percentage in the Opening Day victories.

Through four games for the 3-1 Monks, Jordan is hitting .571 (8-14) with eight runs, three doubles, two triples and four RBI. She leads the team in runs, doubles, triples, total bases (15) and slugging (1.071) on the young season.

The softball weekly honor is a career-first for Jordan, a two-sport standout who served as a starting midfielder for the Monks' soccer program. She was also selected as the GNAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week acclaim on September 30th, 2013.

The two-time All-Conference honoree sports a .293 (108-369) career batting average with 94 runs, 25 doubles, nine triples, three home runs, 44 RBI and 23 stolen bases over 130 contests.

Saint Joseph's continues its southern swing with games versus Wooster (1:00 PM) and Geneva (3:00 PM) on Wednesday.
