Jordan Earns ECAC Co-Player of the Week Accolades

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College senior third baseman Kim Jordan (Standish, Maine) has collected ECAC DIII New England Softball Co-Player of the Week honors.

Jordan went 6-7 with a run, a double, a triple and a home run in the conference doubleheader split at Albertus Magnus College last Saturday. She is currently hitting .477 (21-44) with four doubles, five triples, a homer, eight RBI and two stolen bases on the season.

Jordan, who also earned GNAC Player of the Week honors for her performance, is the team leader in batting, runs and triples and sports a .950 fielding percentage with just two errors in 40 chances through 12 contests this spring.

For Jordan, the ECAC weekly honor is the second of the young season, as the senior captain earned the same award on March 9th after hitting .625 (5-8) with four runs, a double, a triple and two RBI in wins over Dominican and Wisconsin-Lutheran the previous day.

A career .303 (121-399) hitter, Jordan has recorded 104 runs with 26 doubles, 12 triples, six home runs, 48 RBI and 25 stolen bases through 138 collegiate games.

Jordan shares the regional honor with Hamilton College junior outfielder Olivia Gozdz (Darien, Conn.), who went 15-29 at the dish with six doubles, a home run and eight runs scored in eight games last week.

Saint Joseph's returns to the diamond with a non-conference doubleheader at Southern Maine on Tuesday, March 31st. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 PM.

In the 76 years since its inception, the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has emerged as the nation's largest Conference.
