WINTHROP, Mass. - Saint Joseph's College of Maine and Emmanuel College have earned the 2017 GNAC Women's Basketball Tournament No. 1 seeds, as SJC claimed the top spot in the North Division and EC laid claim to the top position in the South Division. The tournament quarterfinals will tip off on Tuesday evening. For the complete playoff matchups and schedule, please see below.
In the quarterfinal round, Albertus Magnus College will travel to Saint Joseph's at 6:00 PM, while Emmanuel hosts cross-street rival Simmons College at 7:00 PM. No. 3 seeds River University and Suffolk University will travel to second-seeded JWU and Norwich, respectively.
By virtue of SJC's head-to-head regular-season win over Emmanuel this season, the Monks would host the GNAC title game on Saturday, February 25 should both of the top seeds advance to the championship.
