STANDISH, Maine – With a three-point field goal at the 3:06 mark of the third quarter in a 75-52 victory over Colby-Sawyer College on Tuesday night, senior guard Kelsi McNamara (West Newbury, Mass.) became the all-time leading scorer in Saint Joseph's College women's basketball program history.

The three-pointer propelled McNamara past former standout Kendra Coates '91, who held the team scoring record for nearly three decades with 1,775 points in 114 games. McNamara, who entered the home game versus Colby-Sawyer 17 points shy of the Monks' career mark, finished the contest with 22 points and now has 1,780 over 104 career games.

For her career, the four-year starter has tallied 530 assists, 322 rebounds, 179 steals, and 29 blocked shots while shooting 40.9% (585-1430) from the floor, 38.8% (283-730) from three-point range, and 82.2% (327-398) from the free throw line. Through roughly three-and-a-half seasons, McNamara is averaging 17.1 points, 5.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.7 steals per tilt.

She is also the Monks' all-time leader in three-pointers made (283) and attempted (730) and currently ranks second in scoring average and field goal attempts (1430), third in assists, assists average and three-point percentage, fourth in free throws made (327) and free throw percentage, seventh in field goals made (585) and free throw attempts (398), and 11th in steals.

Among active NCAA DIII players, McNamara ranks first in three-pointers made, second in three-point attempts and assists, fourth in points, three-pointers per game (2.72), three-point attempts per game (7.02) and assists average, fifth in field goal attempts (1430), seventh in games (104), and 10th in free throw percentage.

Through 16 games this winter, McNamara is averaging 21.8 points, 6.8 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.9 rebounds per game while shooting 47.5% (115-242) from the field, 40.2% (49-122) from three-point distance, and 85.4% (70-82) from the free-throw line. She leads the conference in points (349), three-pointers made (49) and three-point percentage and ranks second in field goals made (115), assists (109) and assist/turnover ratio (2.4), and third in scoring average and FT%.

As of January 16th, McNamara is ranked fourth in NCAA DIII in assists average, sixth in assists (109), seventh in points, ninth in scoring average, 13th in three-pointers made, and 19th in assist/turnover ratio.

The senior captain has garnered 80 individual accolades during her career thus far, including four All-New England Region honors, three All-Conference bids, and three Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament Most Valuable Player awards. She was selected as the 2016 GNAC Rookie of the Year, earned 2017 GNAC Offensive Player of the Year accolades, and was named as a 2018 D3hoops.com Third Team Preseason All-American.

Also an excellent student, McNamara - an Elementary Education major - earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors as a junior and has twice garnered GNAC All-Academic acclaim.
