PORTLAND, ME - Saint Joseph's (2-0) blanked Thomas
College (0-2), 18-0, on Wednesday evening at Deering Memorial

Brooks '10 (Bath, ME) netted four goals apiece in
the triumph and the shutout posted by Taylor
Allison '12 (Pawtucket, RI) is the first in the
program's young history.
The Lady Monks held a 14-0 lead going into the intermission and
outshot the Terriers 23-6 in the opening stanza.
Aside from the eight-tally effort put forth by
Marchant and Brooks,
Lizzie Farley '11 (Scarborough,
ME) scored three goals, Lauren
Hagerman '10 (Scarborough, ME) had two goals, two
assists to go with 11 draw controls and Amelia
Santos '12 (Beverly, MA) added a pair of markers
and an assist. Jaimee Brett '10
(Otisfield, ME) chipped in with a goal and two helpers, and
Allyson Woods '12 (Portland,
ME/McAuley) and Megan Cutter '12
(Westbrook, ME) scored their first collegiate goals in the
landslide victory. Jillian
Higgins '11 (Saco, ME) collected three groundballs
to lead the Royal Blue while Allison made six
stops in net for the victors.
Saint Joseph's will travel to Boston, MA to take on Emerson College
(4-2, 1-0 GNAC) at The Field at Rotch Playground
in the Lady Monks' conference opener. Opening faceoff is scheduled
for 12:00 PM.
