STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has released its weekly honors selections and two Saint Joseph’s College Women’s Lacrosse standouts have been recognized.
Junior midfielder Alyssa Marchant (Wakefield, MA/Wakefield) and sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Allison (Pawtucket, RI/St. Mary Academy-Bayview) have received GNAC Player and Goalie of the Week honors, respectively.
Marchant scored six goals in each of the Monks’ three wins last week, including her 100th career marker in an 18-6 victory over Thomas College on March 18th. She currently leads the Monks in goals (18) and points (19) and ranks second in groundballs (12) through three contests.
Allison enjoyed an outstanding opening week in goal for the Monks, as the sophomore netminder posted a 5.33 goals-against average with a .644 save percentage in three games, and 180 minutes of play, last week.
St. Joe’s will play at Husson University on Wednesday, March 24th at 5:00 PM.
