Marchant and Diplock Deemed GNAC Honor Roll Worthy

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's midfielders Alyssa Marchant '11 (Wakefield, MA) and Cassie Diplock '14 (Augusta, ME) have earned GNAC Weekly Honor Roll mention.

Marchant netted 13 goals with seven ground balls and nine draw controls in three games for St. Joe's last week. The senior attacker became the second player in SJC women's lacrosse history to reach the 200-point plateau in a loss to Simmons College last Wednesday.

The senior tri-captain leads the Monks in goals (29), points (33) and draw controls (37) through six games and is the program's all-time leader in points (209), goals (182), ground balls (157), and caused turnovers (47).

Diplock enjoyed a tremendous week for the Monks with 11 goals and nine ground balls in three contests. The freshman midi scored at least three goals in all three tilts and netted a career-high five goals in a loss to Simmons College on Wednesday.

Diplock currently ranks second on the team with 16 goals and third on the squad with 18 total points.

Saint Joseph's will host conference foe Rivier College at Deering Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 8:30 PM.
