Marchant Adds Career Points Mark to List of Achievements

STANDISH, ME – Senior attacker Alyssa Marchant (Wakefield, MA) became the SJC women's lacrosse all-time leader in points with two goals in a loss to Lasell College at Deering Memorial Stadium on Thursday, April 7th.

Marchant entered the contest against the Lasers tied with Lauren Hagerman '10 for the career lead with 207 points and surpassed her former teammate with a goal at the 22:32 mark of the first half. Through 49 career games, Marchant has 212 points – 184 goals and 28 assists. Hagerman netted 130 goals and 77 assists in 39 contests over three seasons.

This season, Marchant leads the Monks in goals (31), points (36), free-position goals (5), shots (59), shots on goal (48) and caused turnovers (12). She ranks second on the squad in ground balls (23) and draw controls (37).

Marchant ranks as the team's all-time leader in goals (184), shots (371), ground balls (161), caused turnovers (51), man-up goals (7) and free-position goals (23).

A two-time First Team All-GNAC selection, Marchant also holds the Monks' single season records for goals (61, 2010), shots (129, 2010), ground balls (71, 2010), caused turnovers (16, 2008) and free-position goals (9, 2009).

She owns the team's single-game records for points (13), goals (10), assists (7), shots (15), draw controls (20) and caused turnovers (5). She has scored at least two goals in 43 games and been held without a score just three times in her career.

In all, Marchant currently owns 23 program records.
