Marchant Garners GNAC Offensive Player of the Year Award

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's senior attacker Alyssa Marchant (Wakefield, MA/Wakefield) has garnered Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Offensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-GNAC honors.

Marchant, a three-time First Team All-Conference selection, led the GNAC in goals per game (4.17) and shots per game (9.67) and also ranked second in points per contest (4.58) this spring. As of May 2nd, Marchant's 4.17 goals per game ranked 18th in all of NCAA DIII Women's Lacrosse.

The owner of 25 program records, Marchant is the Monks' all-time leader in goals (203), points (231), shots (428), ground balls (182) and caused turnovers (56). She is one of just two players in GNAC Women's Lacrosse history to reach the 200-career-goal plateau.

Marchant tallied 50 goals, five assists, 55 points, 44 ground balls, 44 draw controls and 17 caused turnovers in 12 contests as a senior. She led the team in goals, points, shots (116), game-winners (3), free-position goals (6) and caused turnovers in her final collegiate campaign. She is the first-ever four-year player for the SJC Women's Lacrosse program.

Saint Joseph's (5-7, 2-6 GNAC) failed to advance to the conference tournament this spring for the first time in four years as a varsity program.
