Adame Caps Rookie Season as NCAA Draw Controls Leader

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse freshman midfielder Anneka Adame (San Diego, Calif. /Cathedral Catholic) finished her rookie season as the 2011 NCAA Women's Lacrosse leader in draw controls per game.

With 80 draw controls in 12 contests, Adame averaged 6.67 per tilt to lead all levels of NCAA Women's Lacrosse, which includes 360 institutions across the country.

Adame, who started all 12 games for the Monks last spring, netted six goals, two assists, 31 ground balls and eight caused turnovers in her first collegiate campaign. Her 2011 draw controls tally and per-game average both rank as a program single-season records.
