Women’s Lax Coach Anna Gordon Steps Down

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's College has announced that Anna Gordon has stepped down from her position as the head coach of the women's lacrosse program.

Gordon is leaving the college coaching ranks to pursue a Master's Degree in School Counseling.

Coach Gordon has been with the Monks' lacrosse program since the team assumed NCAA DIII varsity sport status in 2008. She served as a co-head coach, along with current field hockey Head Coach Rupert Lewis, in 2008 and 2009 before accepting sole leadership of the program in 2010.

In three years as the Monks' head coach, Gordon posted a 23-17-1 record, including a 14-11 mark in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play, and guided the Royal Blue to a pair of GNAC Tournament appearances.
