LOS ANGELES, CA – Saint Joseph's (1-2) wrapped up a trip to the west coast with an 18-4 loss at the hands of Occidental College (6-0) on Tuesday afternoon. Senior Cassie Diplock (Augusta, Maine) scored three of the Monks' goals in the loss.

Occidental started the contest with 10 unanswered goals, as a Lizzie Calnan (Westport, Mass.) marker snapped the Tigers' scoring run with a marker with 8:19 left in the first half. The hosts owned a 12-1 cushion going into the break and held a 14-1 advantage after netting a pair in the opening four minutes of the second stanza.
