Diplock Named GNAC Player of the Week

STANDISH, ME – The GNAC has announced the weekly honors for the seventh reporting period of the 2014 spring season and Saint Joseph's College senior midfielder Cassie Diplock (Augusta, Maine) has been chosen as the conference Player of the Week.

Diplock potted 15 goals with four assists and 19 ground balls in a 2-1 week for the Monks. The GNAC goals leader capped the week with one of her finest efforts of the season, netting seven goals with 12 ground balls - both career-highs - in a 14-11 overtime triumph against Rivier University on Sunday.

The senior currently leads the conference in goals (54), free-position goals (14), shots (138) and shots on goal (108) and ranks second in the conference in ground balls (57) and third in points (61) through 15 games. The weekly conference honor is the second of her career – the first came during her sophomore season on April 16th, 2012.

Saint Joseph's (9-6, 8-1 GNAC) will host University of Maine-Farmington on Thursday in a non-conference contest slated to begin at 7:30 PM at Deering Memorial Stadium.
