Caiazzo Collects Second-Consecutive ECAC Weekly Honor

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College freshman attack Elyse Caiazzo (Scarborough, Maine/Cheverus) has been named the ECAC DIII New England Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive reporting period.

Caiazzo helped lead Saint Joseph's to three victories by recording 11 goals, two assists, 17 ground balls, 12 draw controls and five caused turnovers last week. The freshman attack scored four goals in wins over Maine Maritime Academy and University of Southern Maine and added three goals, two assists, eight ground balls, five draw controls and three caused turnovers versus University of Saint Joseph on Saturday.

The freshman phenom also claimed Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week honors on Monday afternoon.

Saint Joseph's (4-1, 1-0 GNAC) is set to play at Norwich University on Saturday in a conference contest scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.
