Caiazzo Collects Third-Consecutive GNAC Rookie Award

STANDISH, Maine – The GNAC weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College freshman Elyse Caiazzo (Scarborough, Maine/Cheverus) has been selected as the Rookie of the Week for the third-consecutive reporting period.

Caiazzo continued her impressive rookie season by netting six goals with an assist along with four ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers in a 23-3 GNAC win at Norwich University on Saturday.

The freshman standout continues to lead the conference in goals (24), shots (49) and shots on goal (39) and ranks second in the GNAC – behind teammate Mary Leasure (South Portland, Maine/McAuley) – in total points (28).

Saint Joseph's (5-1, 2-0 GNAC) will host conference-rival Lasell College at Deering Memorial Stadium on Saturday at 4:30 PM.
