Cunha Selected as GNAC Keeper of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph's College senior Michelle Cunha (Enfield, Conn.) has been named as the GNAC Women's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week.

Cunha collects her second weekly accolade of the season after helping lift the Monks to a pair of victories last week by posting a 7.50 goals against average with a 60.5 save percentage. The senior keeper made 14 stops in a 12-11 win over Lasell on Thursday and added nine saves in a 21-4 triumph over Rivier on Saturday.

Through April 19th, Cunha is 11-1 with a 5.10 goals-against average and, with 80 saves and 54 goals allowed in 753 minutes, sports a 55.6 save percentage. She currently leads the conference in goals-against average, save percentage, and victories.

Saint Joseph's (12-2, 6-0 GNAC) will play at University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) (4-9, 1-6 GNAC) at 2:00 PM on Saturday.
