WINTHROP, Mass. – Seeking its third consecutive league crown, Johnson & Wales University earned a 17-8 road victory at Regis College in Wednesday's regular-season finale to finish undefeated in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play for the third time in as many years.

The Wildcats (11-0 GNAC) will now open up the 2019 GNAC Tournament on Saturday, April 27 against eighth-seeded Norwich University (4-7 GNAC) at 1:00 PM, while second-seeded Regis (10-1 GNAC) will take on seventh-seeded Emmanuel College (5-6 GNAC) at 12:00 PM on Saturday in the quarterfinals.

Also on Wednesday night, Lasell College traveled to Saint Joseph's College of Maine to decide which team would nail down the No. 3 seed, with the Lasers outlasting the host Monks, 11-10, in an overtime thriller. As a result after tiebreaks, Saint Joseph's (7-4 GNAC) drops to the sixth seed and now gets set for a rematch, traveling to third-seeded Lasell (9-2 GNAC) on Saturday for a 12:00 PM contest.

Simmons University (7-4 GNAC) was pushed to the brink Wednesday afternoon on the road at Norwich, outlasting the Cadets, 9-8 in overtime. Fifth-seeded Simmons will now travel to fourth-seeded Colby-Sawyer College (7-4 GNAC) in a quarterfinal contest, as the Chargers program looks to make some noise in its first-ever GNAC Tournament appearance.
