Wildcats Blank Monks, 3-0

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Saint Joseph's College (6-5-1, 3-1-1 GNAC) suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of Johnson & Wales University (7-2-3, 3-0-2 GNAC) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

JWU forward Deja Hursey (Columbia, Md.) scored all three of the Wildcats' goals in the victory as the Wildcats held sizeable advantages in shots (19-10), shots on goal (9-3), and corner kicks (7-2) on the afternoon.

SJC junior goalkeeper Brooke Troup (East Bridgewater, Mass.) made six saves in the loss while Johnson & Wales netminder Colleen Lynch (New Milford, Conn.) registered three stops in a shutout performance.

Both teams face GNAC opponents on the road on Wednesday, when Saint Joseph's plays at Suffolk University in a 7:00 PM start and Johnson & Wales treks to University of Saint Joseph for a 4:00 PM kick-off.
