Emery Tabbed as GNAC Player of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College sophomore midfielder Ashley Emery (Madison, Maine) is the September 23rd GNAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Emery broke out with two goals in a 3-0 victory over conference foe Regis College on Saturday – the Monks' lone game of the week – to improve to 5-1-1 overall and 2-0 in the GNAC.

The sophomore speedster currently leads the team in goals (3) and points (8) and is tied for the SJC lead in assists (2). The conference weekly award is the first of her collegiate career.

Saint Joseph's (5-1-1, 2-0-0 GNAC) travels to Boston on Wednesday for a 7:00 PM conference game at Emmanuel College.
