Grogan Claims Second-Consecutive GNAC Weekly Honor

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College sophomore Adia Grogan (Kennebunk, Maine) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for the second-consecutive reporting period. 

Grogan made 19 saves with a 1.86 GAA and a .833 save percentage in two games last week. She steered away 11 shots in a 2-1 loss at Lasell on Wednesday and made eight stops – along with several acrobatic PK saves – in a PK win over USJ on Saturday to help the Monks advance to the semifinals. 

In 19 games this fall Grogan is 12-4-3 with a 0.88 goals against average and three shutouts. In 1744 minutes between the posts the second-year starter has made 114 saves with 17 goals allowed for an .870 save percentage. She currently leads the conference in games, minutes, goals against average, and save percentage, is second in victories, and ranks third in saves and fewest goals allowed.  

Grogan currently ranks 15th in the country in goalkeeper minutes and 31st in save percentage.  

Saint Joseph's, the #2 seed in the GNAC Tournament, will host #3 Emmanuel College in a semifinal matchup tomorrow at 6:15 PM.
