Women's Swimming Falls to Regis, 147.5-102.5

STANDISH, Maine – Regis College defeated Saint Joseph's, 147.5-102.5, in a head-to-head women's swim meet at the Alfond Center Pool on Saturday afternoon.

Several individuals performed well in the event, as junior Anne Fougere (Warner, N.H.) won the 50-Breast (36.19) and finished as the runner-up in the 100-Breast (1:19.80), sophomore Lauren Halvorsen (South Portland, Maine) topped the field in the 500-Free (6:03.24) and finished second in the 1650-Free (20:45.11), and sophomore Danielle Charette (Westfield, Mass.) posted a victory in the 50-Fly (31.30) and was the runner-up in the 100-Back (1:11.47).

Also performing well were junior Brooke Huberdeau (North Andover, Mass.), who was the runner-up in the 200-Free (2:12.04) and 100-Free (1:01.77), sophomore Erin Weir (North Andover, Mass.), who placed second in the 50-Back (33.64), and junior Alexandra Krasco (Melrose, Mass.), who finished second in the 100-Fly (1:14.89).

Saint Joseph's travels to Husson University on Saturday for a head to head event versus the Eagles. The meet begins at 12:00 PM.
