Women Place Second at Regis (Mass.)

WESTON, Mass. – The Saint Joseph's College women's swimming team wrapped up a two-day dual meet at Regis (Mass.) on Saturday afternoon and placed second with 128 points. The Pride won the event with 253 team points. 

THE RUNDOWN:

  • Freshman Rose Baillie (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) won the 100-Breast (1:13.79) and 200-Breast (2:49.45) races, finished second in the 100-IM (1:09.53), and was third in the 100-Free (1:01.95)
  • Sophomore Emily Roy (Sidney, Maine) was the runner-up in the 100-Back (1:10.81) and placed third in the 200-Back (2:31.63) and 200-IM (2:42.74)
  • Junior Julia Rowlett (Saco, Maine) posted second-place finishes in the 100-Fly (1:16.32) and 200-Fly (2:59.11) events
  • Sophomore Alexis Coiley (Fort Fairfield, Maine) was second in the 500-Free (5:58.94), 1650-Free (21:09.53), and 200-Breast (3:03.48) events and placed third in the 200-Free (2:11.90)
  • Sophomore Autumn Nostrom (Lyman, Maine) placed third in the 50-Free (29.06) and 50-Breast (38.27)
  • Senior Leia Berube (Brewer, Maine) finished third in the 100-Fly (1:24.78)
  • Roy, Baillie, Rowlett, and Nostrom posted a runner-up finish in the 200-Medley Relay (2:05.87)
  • Nostrom, Coiley, Jasmine Dort (Essex, Mass.), and Hailey Bouyea (Lewiston, Maine) finished second in the 200-Free Relay (1:58.60)
  • Roy, Baillie, Rowlett, and Nostrom placed second in the 400-Medley Relay (4:40.74)
  • Baillie, Coiley, Dort, and Nostrom posted the third-fastest time in the 400-Free Relay (4:17.81)

The Monks are off until Friday, December 1st when both teams kick off the three-day Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship at Simmons College.
