STANDISH, Maine – Head Coach Jared Felker is pleased to announce the women's swimming Class of 2022.
Coach Felker's second recruiting class features 10 swimmers – four men and six women – and brings additional talent and depth to a program that lost just one senior – Leia Berube (Brewer, Maine) – to graduation this spring.
Berube, a team captain during her senior season, was a four-year member of the SJC swim team and competed in 106 events – the sixth-highest total in program history – during her collegiate career.
The SJC women return eight swimmers this year after placing fourth in the GNAC Championship and 17th in the NEISDA Championship last winter. The young 2017-18 squad featured six freshmen and sophomores.
"We are thrilled to welcome the Class of 2022 to Saint Joseph's College," adds Felker. "After graduating just one senior last year, the addition of these 10 freshmen will be instrumental in the success of our program. They will not only raise the level of competition in the pool, but in the classroom as well. I am really looking forward to getting them in the water!"
"The class of 2022 is chock full of not only sprint speed but also versatility," Felker continues. "The six women coming in share a ton of competitive experience and will make an immediate impact. We are really excited to see what they are capable of!"

Sierra Lumbert Why Saint Joseph's? I chose Saint Joseph's because I fell in love with the campus and the people. I loved the environment and I'm excited to spend a portion of my college education here.
