STANDISH, Maine - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has named 713 teams to its Scholar All-America list for the Fall 2018 Semester and the Saint Joseph's College men's and women's swim teams have earned the high academic honor.
The teams represent 476 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions. The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Both of the Monks' teams boasted a 3.09 GPA during the fall semester.
Under the leadership of third-year Head Coach Jared Felker, Saint Joseph's is one of just 112 NCAA DIII institutions – including 16 New England programs - to have both men's and women's teams recognized. Regis College is the only other Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) intuition to have both teams earn the academic accolade.
