STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been released and a trio of Saint Joseph's College indoor track & field athletes have earned honors.
Junior Ryan Farr (Gorham, Maine) has been named the GNAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, junior Brooklyn Goff (Biddeford, Maine) has earned GNAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week accolades, and junior Aaliyah WilsonFalcone (Winthrop, Maine) has been tabbed as the GNAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.
Farr claims his first GNAC weekly honor of the season – and second of his college career – after finishing second in the 400-Meter Dash (52.01) in the USM Husky Invitational on Saturday. Farr earned his first weekly conference accolade on January 17th, 2022.
Goff takes home her second-consecutive GNAC weekly award – and third this season overall – after registering several impressive performances at USM on Saturday. The junior standout broke the SJC 55-Meter Hurdles record with an 8.95 time in the prelims and placed second in the finals with a 9.09 time. She also placed fourth in the High Jump (1.51m) and fifth in the 200-Meter Dash (28.18).
WilsonFalcone claims her fifth GNAC weekly honor after finishing third in the Triple Jump (9.84m) at the Husky Invitational.
Saint Joseph's will compete at the State of Maine Championships at Bates College on Saturday.
