Women's Track & Field Finishes 5th at Bates Invitational

LEWISTON, ME – The Saint Joseph's women's track & field team placed fifth with 16 team points in the Bates College Invitational on Saturday.

Top efforts from the competition include sophomore Doe Leckie (Naples, Maine) placing fourth in the 60 meter hurdles (10.02) and sophomore Amber Dostie (Standish, Maine) finishing fourth in the 1000 meter run (3:11.63) and sixth in the 600 meter run (1:44.27).

Sophomore Heather Eaton (Lincolnville, Maine) also performed well and placed eighth in the 3000 meter run (11:33.13).

Bates won the event with 201.50 points, nine ahead of Runner-up University of Maine (192.50). Colby College (149), Southern Maine (127), Bowdoin College (7) and Husson University (5) also competed in the event.

Saint Joseph's will compete at University of Southern Maine next Saturday at 1:00 PM.
