MIDDLETON, CT – The Saint Joseph's College outdoor track & field program competed in the Wesleyan Classic on Saturday. The competition was a non-scoring event.

Five individual women's records were topped, as Hailey Frisbee (Kittery Point, Maine) broke the 400-meter dash (1:09.76) mark, Gabby Lodge (Westbrook, Maine) set new team bests in the shot put (6.84m) and discus throw (29.22m) events and Mikaela Rowell (Derry, N.H.) produced team records in the high jump (1.32m) and long jump (4.07m) competitions.

Rowell, Marisa Lundy (Merrimac, Mass.), Lauren Smith (North Kingstown, R.I.) and Hannah Chase also combined to set a new team record in the 4 x 100 meter relay with a 56.29 effort and a fifth-place finish.

Junior Heather Eaton (Lincolnville, Maine) finished as the runner-up in the 3000-meter steeplechase (12:37.74), Rowell placed second in the high jump, Lodge was fourth in the discus and Victoria Huntley (Ellsworth, Maine) posted a fourth-place effort in the javelin throw (24.61m).

Five individual records were also broken on the men's side, with Nick Shuckrow (Winslow, Maine) posting a 4:24.41 time in the 1500-meter run, Joe DiSalvo (Derry, N.H.) recording a 10:59.33 effort in the 3000-meter steeplechase,Sam Dunay (Groton, Conn.) notching a 41.44 meter distance in the javelin throw and Billy Brooks (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) setting new team marks in the discus (22.53m) and shot put (8.93m) events.

Senior Faisal Abdillahi (Lewiston, Maine) highlighted a solid showing for the Monks by winning the 800-meter run with a 2:02.40 effort while Dunay posted runner-up performances in the 110-meter hurdles (18.17m) and javelin throw and DiSalvo placed second in the steeplechase with his team-record time.

Saint Joseph's will compete in the Brown University Invitational this Saturday.
