WATERVILLE, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College outdoor track & field program competed in the Colby College Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Both teams finished fourth in the highly competitive meet, as the men registered 6.5 points and the women tallied four points.
THE RUNDOWN – MEN:
- Freshman Christien Morneweck (Burlington, Mass.) was fifth in the high jump (1.73m) and 12th in the long jump (5.86m)
- Freshman Jamie Carlson (Jericho, Vt.) finished fifth in the javelin (42.16m), was seventh with a team-record performance in the discus (32.67m) and placed 14th in the long jump (5.51m)
- Junior Matthew DiBiase (South Portland, Maine) placed seventh in the javelin (26.30m), 15th in the 100-Meter (12.61) and 25th in the 200-Meter (26.99)
- Senior Joe DiSalvo (Derry, N.H.) finished eighth in the steeplechase (10:59.86)
- Senior Robert Travers (Lebanon, Maine) was sixth in the shot put (6.74m), eighth in the javelin (12.77m) and 12th in the discus (14.62m)
- Junior Billy Brooks (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) finished 11th in the 100-Meter
- Junior Taidghe Hagan (Reading, Mass.) placed 14th in the 1500-Meter (4:45.24)
- Junior Mark McCarraher (Franklin, Mass.) finished 14th in the 400-Meter (55.49) and 20th in the 200-Meter (24.64)
- Michael Scala was 16th in the 100-Meter (12.92) and 24th in the 200-Meter (26.27)
- Scala, Carlson, Morneweck and freshman Reid Duglenski (Waterbury, Conn.) competed in the 4x100m relay and placed fifth with a 47.39 effort
THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:
- Senior Amber Dostie (Standish, Maine) finished fourth in the steeplechase (11:56.37)
- Freshman Kyrie Harnden (Wilton, Maine) placed 14th with a 14.75 time in the 100-Meter and set a new team record with a 31.15 effort, and placed 16th overall, in the 200-Meter
- Sophomore Jill Keimach (Scarborough, Maine) was 17th in the 100-Meter (16.49) and 20th in the 200-Meter (36.13)
