Track & Field Teams Compete in USM Open

STANDISH, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College indoor track & field program competed in the University of Southern Maine Open on Saturday. The event was a non-scoring competition.

THE RUNDOWN - WOMEN:

  • Freshman Kelsey Barrett (Gardiner, Maine) was fourth in the 55-Meter hurdles (10.27) with a 9.91 time in the preliminary, finished ninth in the 55-Meter (8.13) and 12th in the 200-Meter (30.06)
  • Junior Riley Jones (Winslow, Maine) placed fourth in the 1000-Meter (4:27.98)
  • Freshman Alysha Smith (Jaffrey, N.H.) was fifth in the 55-Meter (8.04) and 11th in the 200-Meter (29.85)
  • Freshman Meghan Burke (Falmouth, Maine) finished seventh in the shot put (9.13m) and 22nd in the 200-Meter (32.91)
 

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Sophomore Lucas Fisher (Strafford, N.H.) was sixth in the 1000-Meter (3:05.94) and finished 17th in the 1-Mile (5:05.31)
  • Sophomore Jamie Carlson (Jericho, Vt.) was eighth in the long jump (5.25m) 
  • Freshman James Stevens (Marshfield, Mass.) finished 12th in the 200-Meter (31.36) and posted an 8.70 time in the 55-Meter prelims
  • Senior Taidghe Hagan (North Reading, Mass.) placed 16th in the 1-Mile (4:58.06)
 

Saint Joseph's returns to action next Saturday at the Bates College Invitational.
