Women Participate in Aloha Relays

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Saint Joseph's women's outdoor track & field squad competed in the Aloha Relays, hosted by Bowdoin College, on Saturday afternoon.

THE RUNDOWN

  • Freshman Meghan Burke (Falmouth, Maine) placed eighth in the discus throw (29.67m) and 15th in the shot put (8.65m)
  • Freshman Kelsey Barrett (Gardiner, Maine) was ninth in the 100-Meter hurdles (17.88 – program record) 19th in the 100-Meter prelim (14.06)
  • Freshman Alysha Smith (Jaffrey, N.H.) placed 13th in the200-Meter (28.11) and 100-Meter prelim (13.49)
  • Freshman Valerie Hubbard (Litchfield, N.H.) placed 14th in the 100-Meter hurdles (23.34) and 35th in the 100-Meter prelim (17.94)
  • Freshman Sarah Curtin (Strafford, N.H.) placed 14th with a 2:29.62 effort in the 800-Meter, breaking her team record by over four seconds
  • Freshman Julia Rowlett (Saco, Maine) was 15th in the hammer throw (20.88m – program record) and 19th in the shot put (6.76m)
  • Freshman Maureen Herlihy (Walpole, Mass.) was 25th in the 800-Meter (2:41.84)
  • Sophomore Kyrie Harnden (Wilton, Maine) finished 31st in the 100-Meter prelim (14.89)
  • Junior Krissy Schelling (Pelham, N.H.) finished 32nd in the 1500-Meter (5:42.35)
  • Barrett, Curtin, Harnden, and Smith raced to a seventh place finish in the 4x100 Meter relay (56.07)

NEXT!

Saint Joseph's concludes the regular season next Sunday with an appearance in the Pride Invitational at Regis College.
