WESTON, Mass. – The Saint Joseph's College track & field teams competed in the Pride Classic at Regis College last Saturday.
THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:
- Freshman Sarah Curtin (Strafford, N.H.) won the 3000-Meter steeplechase with a 12:29.90 performance
- Freshman Valerie Hubbard (Litchfield, N.H.) was fourth in the 400-Meter hurdles (1:43.67 – program record) and eighth in the 100-Meter hurdles (23.48)
- Freshman Nicole Morin (Auburn, Maine) placed fifth in the triple jump (7.55m) and 11th in the long jump (3.41m)
- Freshman Alysha Smith finished sixth in the 100-Meter (13.43) and seventh in the 200-Meter (27.60 – program record)
- Freshman Kelsey Barrett (Gardiner, Maine) was sixth in the 100-Meter hurdles (18.29) and 12th in the 100-Meter (14.22)
- Freshman Meghan Burke (Falmouth, Mass.) finished seventh in the discus throw (27.81m) and ninth in the shot put (8.76m)
- Sophomore Kyrie Harnden (Wilton, Mass.) placed 16th in the 100-Meter (14.83) and 20th in the 200-Meter (30.15)
- Junior Marisa Lundy (Merrimac, Mass.) finished 12th in the 800-Meter (2:42.10)
- The Monks' 4x100-Meter relay placed fourth with a 54.48 time
THE RUNDOWN – MEN:
- Freshman Marshall Berninghausen (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) finished third in the hammer throw (32.32m) and javelin throw (34.61m) events and eighth in the discus throw (24.09m)
- Freshman Kevin Cotter was fifth in the hammer throw (24.47m) and seventh in the shot put (8.64m)
- Freshman Harry DeCotis placed sixth in the hammer throw (22.50m) and 10th in the discus throw (21.88m)
- Freshman Malcolm Gocha (Plymouth, N.H.) was sixth in the 100-Meter (11.60 – program record) and seventh in the 200-Meter (23.84)
- Freshman David Free placed seventh in the discus throw (24.79m) and eighth in the shot put (8.47m)
- Freshman Alex Gutierrez (York, Maine) was seventh in the hammer throw (20.28m), eighth in the javelin throw (28.45m), and ninth in the discus throw (22.72m)
- Sophomore Lucas Fisher (Strafford, N.H.) raced to an eighth place finish in the 1500-Meter (4:31.99)
- Freshman Avery Liotta-Henderson (Waterbury, Conn.) finished 12th in the 800-Meter (2:13.94)
- Freshman Joshua Hunter placed 25th in the 100-Meter (13.17) and 26th in the 200-Meter (28.16)
- Senior Taidghe Hagan (Reading, Mass.) was 20th in the 1500-Meter (5:02.46)
- 4x800-Meter relay team was second with a 9:26.90 effort
