Men Finish Sixth, Women Seventh at Bowdoin College Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College indoor track & field teams competed in the Bowdoin College Invitational at Farley Field House on Saturday afternoon. The men placed sixth with 12 points while the women finished seventh with eight points.

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Freshman Lillian Bisset (Jefferson, Maine) was seventh in the 60-Meter Hurdles finals (10.16), 12th in the 200-Meter Dash (29.40), and posted a 9.81 time in the 60-Meter Hurdles prelim
  • Sophomore Breeann Sautter (Lisbon, Maine) finished seventh in the 400-Meter Dash (1:08.76)
  • Freshman Marisa Quirion (Gardiner, Maine) was eighth in the 1000-Meter Run (3:38.75)
  • Freshman Amanda Tavoletti (Reading, Mass.) placed ninth in the 1000-Meter Run (3:41.87)
  • Sophomore Kelsey Barrett (Gardiner, Maine) placed 10th with a 1.27m effort in the High Jump, was 14th in the Long Jump (3.93m), and posted a 10.62 time in the 60-Meter Hurdles prelim
  • Sophomore Alysha Smith (Jaffrey, N.H.) placed 10th in the 200-Meter Dash (28.91) and posted an 8.40 time (a new program record) in the 60-Meter prelims
  • Freshman Laurel Grigalunas-Mahon (Hingham, Mass.) finished 11th in the 1000-Meter Run (4:03.45)
  • Junior Kyrie Harnden (Wilton, Maine) was 16th in the 200-Meter Dash (31.13)
  • Sophomore Rebecca Pond (Westwood, Mass.) finished 19th in the 200-Meter Dash (32.24) and notched a 9.48 effort in the 60-Meter prelims
  • Harnden, Barrett, Smith, and Bisset placed fourth in the 4x200 Meter Relay with a 1:58.91 time
  • Quirion, Tavoletti, Grigalunas-Mahon, and Sautter finished third in the 4x400 Meter Relay with a 5:12.21 performance
  • Sophomore Meghan Burke (Falmouth, Mass.) was 14th in the Weight Throw (8.70m)
THE RUNDOWN – MEN:
  • Freshman Keenan Welzel (Brunswick, Maine) won the 800-Meter Run with a 1:59.21 time
  • Freshman Connor White (Bayport, N.Y.) placed seventh in the 600-Meter Run (1:43.04)
  • Freshman Andrew D'Ovidio (Walpole, Mass.) finished ninth in the 400-Meter Dash (55.71) and 14th in the 200-Meter Dash (25.25)
  • Sophomore Marshall Berninghausen (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) was 10th in the Weight Throw (10.53m) and 14th in the Shot Put (8.59m)
  • Freshman Zachary Ham (Saco, Maine) was 10th in the 400-Meter Dash (56.83)
  • Sophomore Kevin Cotter (Sandwich, Mass.) finished 11th in the Shot Put (9.30m)
  • Sophomore Harry DeCotis (North Scituate, R.I.) placed 13th in the Shot Put (8.61m)
  • Junior Lucas Fisher (Strafford, N.H.) placed 14th in the 3000-Meter Run (10:05.19)
  • Freshman David Tuttle (Brunswick, Maine) was 15th in the Shot Put (7.49m)
  • Freshman Kevin McWilliams (New Milford, Conn.) was 16th in the 3000-Meter Run (10:37.29)
  • Freshman Jacob Boissonnault (Biddeford, Maine) placed 17th in the 3000-Meter Run (10:40.22)
  • Freshman Ben Plante (Biddeford, Maine) finished 19th in the 1-Mile Run (5:12.65)
  • Ham, White, Welzel, and D'Ovidio placed fifth with a 3:58.19 time in the 4x400 Meter Relay
  • Sophomore Joshua Hunter (Lawrence, Mass.) posted an 8.89 time in the 60-Meter Dash prelim

Saint Joseph's returns to action next Friday and Saturday with an appearance in the Bates College Invitational.
