Saint Joseph's Competes at Bates College

LEWISTON, Maine – Saint Joseph's College competed in the Bates College Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The women finished seventh with eight points and the men placed seventh with two points.

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Freshman Marissa Hoffman (Harwood, Vt.) placed sixth with 1,289 points in the Pentathlon after finishing fifth in the Long Jump (4.09m) and 800-Meter (3:04.79) events and posting sixth-place efforts in the 60-Meter Hurdles (15.68), High Jump (1.25m), and Shot Put (5.60m) competitions
  • Freshman Alexa Hussey (Rochester, N.H.) was fifth in the High Jump (1.34m)
  • Freshman Meghan Glisson (Merrimack, N.H.) was sixth in the 600-Meter Run (1:57.77)
  • Freshman Elesha Pratt (Poland, Maine) placed sixth in the High Jump (1.29m) and 10th in the 60-Meter Hurdles (11.14)
  • Freshman Lindsey Barrow (Granby, Conn.) finished seventh in the 600-Meter Run (1:58.00)
  • Sophomore Breeann Sautter (Lisbon, Maine) placed eighth in the 400-Meter Dash (1:06.88)
  • Sophomore Marisa Quirion (Gardiner, Maine) was ninth in the 1-Mile Run (6:07.39)

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Sophomore Andrew D'Ovidio (Walpole, Mass.) competed in the Heptathlon and finished fourth with 3,214 points after placing third in the 60-Meter (7.53), 1000-Meter Run (2:57.50), and Shot Put (9.95m) events, fourth in the Long Jump (5.57m) and High Jump (1.46m), and fifth in the 60-Meter Hurdles (11.72) and Pole Vault (2.40m) events
  • Freshman Michael Mason (East Bridgewater, Mass.) was sixth in the 800-Meter Run (2:13.60)
  • Freshman Brandon Whitlock (Westbrook, Maine) finished sixth in the 1000-Meter Run (2:54.30)
  • Sophomore Kevin McWilliams (New Milford, Conn.) was seventh in the 1000-Meter Run (2:54.98)
  • Freshman Lance Santeusanio (North Berwick, Maine) placed seventh in the 400-Meter Dash (56.49)
  • Senior Lucas Fisher (Strafford, N.H.) was seventh in the 1-Mile Run (5:06.29)
  • Sophomore Jacob Boissonnault (Biddeford, Maine) finished eighth in the 800-Meter Run (2:27.31) and 1-Mile Run (5:12.29)
  • Sophomore Ben Plante (Biddeford, Maine) placed ninth in the 1-Mile Run (5:16.51)

Saint Joseph's will compete in the Bowdoin College Invitational next Saturday.
