GORHAM, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's and women's indoor track & field teams opened the New Year by participating in a non-scoring event at the University of Southern Maine on Saturday.

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Freshman Kaylee Todisco (Wilmington, Mass.) broke the Monks' 55-meter dash record with a 7.76 time in the prelims and placed second in the finals with a 7.81 time; she also finished seventh in the 200-meter dash (29.67)
  • Freshman Samantha VanDeMoere (Thornton, N.H.) placed second in the 400-meter dash (1:06.05)
  • Senior Sarah Curtin (Strafford, N.H.) finished second in the 800-meter run (2:31.31)
  • Sophomore Megan Eagleston (Reading, Mass.) was third in the shot put (9.02m)
  • Senior Alysha Smith (Jaffrey, N.H.) finished fourth in the 55-meter dash (7.85) and 200-meter dash (28.65) events
  • Freshman Maelle Tati-Pamboy (Portland, Maine) placed fourth in the long jump (4.52m), seventh in the 55-meter dash (8.20), and 10th in the 200-meter dash (30.63)
  • Sophomore Marissa Hoffman (Harwood, Vt.) was sixth in the 55-meter dash (8.11) and long jump (4.34m) events
  • Junior Lillian Bisset (Jefferson, Maine) finished sixth in the 55-meter hurdles (9.88)
  • Freshman Katelyn McCarthy (Londonderry, N.H.) finished 10th in the 400-meter dash (1:19.52)
  • Smith, Todisco, Tati-Pamboy, and Bisset won the 4x200-meter relay with a 1:55.84 performance
  • Meghan Glisson (Merrimack, N.H.), Hoffman, McCarthy, and Carly Jordan (Turner, Maine) finished second in the 4x400-meter relay (4:44.84)

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Senior Marshall Berninghausen (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) won the weight throw event with a 12.20m toss
  • Freshman Michael Brooks (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) won the 5000-meter run with a 17:27.35 time
  • Sophomore Lance Santeusanio (North Berwick, Maine) placed first in the high jump with a 1.80m performance
  • Sophomore Michael Mason (East Bridgewater, Mass.) was fourth in the 600-meter run (1:34.88)
  • Sophomore Connor Rice (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) was fifth in the 800-meter run (2:12.65)
  • Sophomore Alex Fitzgerald (Lebanon, Maine) placed sixth in the 400-meter dash (54.26) and ninth in the 200-meter dash (24.70)
  • Freshman Cameron Rice (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) finished seventh in the 600-meter run (1:46.96)
  • Freshman Jacob Huberdeau (Plaistow, N.H.) was eighth in the 1000-meter run (2:56.43)
  • Freshman Troy Hendricks (Hiram, Maine) finished eighth in the 1-mile run (4:50.92)
  • Junior Jacob Boissonnault (Biddeford, Maine) placed ninth in the 800-meter run (2:33.16)
  • Sophomore William Blagys (Fairfield, Conn.) was third in the weight throw (11.64m) and posted a ninth-place finish in the shot put (10.47m)
  • Senior Alex Gutierrez (York, Maine) placed fifth in the weight throw (10.28m) 10th in the shot put (10.37m)
  • Senior Avery Liotta-Henderson (Waterbury, Conn.) finished 10th in the 1000-meter run (3:14.13)
  • Hendricks, Fitzgerald, Connor Rice, and Huberdeau raced to a second-place finish in the distance medley (11:39.59)
