WATERVILLE, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College women finished first and the SJC men placed second in the Thomas College Invitational, which was held at Colby College on Sunday.
THE RUNDOWN – MEN:
- Freshman Troy Hendricks (Hiram, Maine) won the 5000-Meter run with a 16:19.45 time
- Sophomore Anthony Blatus (Dracut, Mass.) won the javelin throw (52.25m)
- Senior Marshall Berninghausen (Brasher Falls, N.Y.) won the hammer throw (44.61m) and placed fourth in the javelin throw (43.19m)
- Sophomore Lance Santeusanio III (North Berwick, Maine) won the long jump (6.11m), finished second in the high jump (1.80m) and third in the pole vault 3.05m
- Freshman Michael Brooks (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) placed second in the 5000-Meter run (16:39.87)
- Sophomore William Blagys (Fairfield, Conn.) placed second in the hammer throw (37.90m)
- Sophomore Brandon Whitlock (Westbrook, Maine) placed fourth in the 800-Meter run (2:12.22)
- Junior Ben Plante (Biddeford, Maine) was fifth in the 5000-Meter run (18:35.12)
- Sophomore Kristopher Mason (Hiram, Maine) finished third in the discus throw (33.68m)
- Michael Mason (East Bridgewater, Mass.), Santeusanio, Whitlock, and Alex Fitzgerald (Lebanon, Maine) finished second in the 4x400 meter relay (3:39.04)
THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:
- Senior Sarah Curtin (Strafford, N.H.) won the 800-Meter run (2:37.37) and placed third in the pole vault (2.00m)
- Senior Alysha Smith (Jaffrey, N.H.) won the 200-Meter dash (27.55) and high jump (1.45m) events
- Freshman Samantha VanDeMoere won the 400-Meter dash (1:03.76)
- Freshman Julia Heroux (Albion, R.I.) won the 1500-Meter run (5:33.40)
- Junior Lillian Bisset (Jefferson, Maine) won the 100-Meter hurdles (17.59) and long jump (4.73m) events
- Sophomore Marissa Hoffman (Waterbury, Vt.) won the 400-Meter hurdles (1:15.96) and placed third in the long jump (4.34m)
- Freshman Kaylee Todisco (Wilmington, Mass.) placed second in the 100-Meter dash (13.40) and third in the 200-Meter dash (28.30)
- Freshman Dorothy LeMoine (Swan's Island, Maine) placed second in the shot put (10.07m) and javelin throw (25.70m) and fifth in the discus throw (26.14m) and hammer throw (26.50m) events
- Sophomore Cassidy Lee (Sullivan, Maine) was second in the triple jump (8.81m) and fourth in the 200-Meter dash (28.81)
- Freshman Lauren Fisher (Hampton Falls, N.H.) finished second in the 5000-Meter run (21:25.19)
- Junior Marisa Quirion (Gardiner, Maine) placed third in the 5000-Meter run (21:25.28)
- Freshman Carly Jordan (Turner, Maine) was third in the 1500-Meter run (5:45.38)
- Freshman Alirose Beauregard (Dover, N.H.) placed fourth in the 1500-Meter run (5:48.01)
- Freshman Julie Unczur (Danvers, Mass.) was fourth in the triple jump (8.21m)
- Sophomore Meghan Glisson (Merrimack, N.H.) finished fifth in the 400-Meter dash (1:09.76)
- Sophomore Holly Moores (Rollinsford, N.H.) was fifth in the 800-Meter run (2:53.77)
