STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been released and a pair of Saint Joseph's College outdoor track & field athletes have earned accolades.
For their performances in the Pine Tree State Classic / Maine Championships at Saint Joseph's on Saturday, junior Brooklyn Goff (Biddeford, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week and sophomore Dylan Dickey (Laconia, N.H.) has earned GNAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Goff earns honors for the second-consecutive week after placing second in the 100-meter hurdles (16.88), fourth in the high jump (1.47m), and eighth in the long jump (4.68m).
Dickey claims the first GNAC weekly accolade of his career after winning the javelin throw with a 58.17m heave, shattering his own team record, while placing third in the high jump (1.80m) and 14th in the discus throw (30.02m). His javelin mark is currently ranked second in the region and 17th in the country.
Saint Joseph's will host the 2023 GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship on Saturday (3:00 PM) and Sunday (10:00 AM).
