STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's (18-11, 7-5 GNAC) suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Framingham State University (19-10, 5-1 MASCAC) in a non-conference volleyball match on Friday night. The Rams bested the Monks by scores of 26-24, 25-16 and 25-20.

Brooke Dyer '14 (Lebanon, Maine/St. Thomas Aquinas) posted a team-high six kills and added five digs to her stat line while classmate Erica Russi (Debary, Fla.) paced the Royal Blue with 14 digs in the loss.

Kiah Begley '13 (Berwick, Maine/St. Thomas Aquinas) netted 15 assists, 12 digs, four kills and two aces, Kristin Palladino '14 (Exeter, N.H.) contributed 11 digs, Holly Bannister '14 (Cumberland, Maine) belted five kills, and Sarah Hawkes '13 (Pownal, Maine) came up with nine digs for St. Joe's.

For the Rams, Andressa Fernandes '14 (Framingham, Mass.) boasted 10 kills and six digs, Kayla Bertrand '15 (Agawam, Mass.) notched 16 digs and a pair of aces, Morgan Drew '15 (North Easton, Mass.) chipped in with 25 assists, and Courtney Moylan '13 (Bourne, Mass.) had 13 digs. Jackie Friel '13 (Centerville, Mass.) was dominant at the net with four solo blocks on the evening.

St. Joe's has now dropped three consecutive matches to Framingham State, dating back to a 3-0 loss mid-way through the 2005 campaign.

Saint Joseph's will close out the regular season with a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match at Albertus Magnus College (4-20, 1-11 GNAC) tomorrow at 1:00 PM. The Rams return to action tomorrow with a non-conference tri-match at UMass.-Dartmouth beginning at 2:00 PM.
