Dostie Tabbed as GNAC Runner of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly accolades have been announced and Saint Joseph's College senior Amber Dostie (Standish, Maine) has collected GNAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for the third time this fall and 14th time in her career.

Dostie led Saint Joseph's with a 24:08 effort and placed 56th out of 338 participants in the ECAC DIII Championship in Westfield, Mass. on Saturday. The senior captain was the top-finishing GNAC runner in the annual event.

One of the most decorated SJC athletes in recent memory, the three-time GNAC Runner of the Year and four-time All-Conference honoree and now earned 20 weekly conference awards during her career overall, as the senior captain has also collected three Rookie of the Week and a trio of honor roll accolades over four seasons.

Saint Joseph's concludes the 2014 season with an appearance in the NCAA DIII New England Regional Championship at Mt. Greyock High School in Williamstown, Mass. on Saturday.
