Cross Country Teams Finish Seventh at Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College cross country teams participated in the Bowdoin College Invitational on Saturday. Both teams placed seventh, as the women notched 194 points and the men tallied 201 points running in unseasonably warm conditions.

The Polar Bears swept their home event, as the women tallied 21 points with five runners in the top eight and the Bowdoin men placed five in the top nine en route to posting 24 points.

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Junior Sarah Curtin (Strafford, N.H.) finished 26th with a 20:37 performance, the fourth-fastest time of her collegiate career
  • Sophomore Marisa Quirion (Gardiner, Maine) was 59th with a 22:07 effort
  • Freshman Meghan Glisson (Merrimack, N.H.) raced to a 77th-place finish with a 22:43 time
  • Freshman Britney Theroux (West Warwick, R.I.) finished 88th (23:09)
  • First-year Emma Belyea (Caribou, Maine) placed 103rd (24:22)

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Senior Lucas Fisher (Strafford, N.H.) was 36th with a 29:15 time
  • Freshman JD Ndayishimiye (Westbrook, Maine) finished 55th (30:51)
  • First-year Brandon Whitlock (Westbrook, Maine) placed 60th (30:58)
  • Sophomore Jacob Boissonnault (Biddeford, Maine) raced to a 71st-place finish (32:13)
  • Freshman Michael Mason (East Bridgewater, Mass.) was 74th (32:32)

Saint Joseph's will compete in the Williams College Invitational next Saturday.
