Fisher Named GNAC Rookie of the Week

STANDISH, Maine - The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph's College sophomore Lauren Fisher (Hampton Falls, N.H.) has been named as the GNAC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Fisher, a first-year runner, led the Monks with a 20:18 time and placed 87th overall in the 5K UMass.-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday.

Hendricks was the top SJC runner with a 27:43 time in the 8K UMass.-Dartmouth Invitational and finished 113th overall on Saturday. She is the first Saint Joseph's women's cross country runner to earn GNAC Rookie of the Week honors since Marie Harrington claimed the award on October 14th, 2013.

Saint Joseph's is back in action on Saturday, September 29th when the team competes in the 2018 Maine State Championship in Brunswick.
