Please share some of your favorite SJC memories - on and off the field:
I cannot say enough about my experiences and friendships that I made throughout my time at SJC. I have so many fond memories filled with my field hockey teammates/family, team dinners, running sectionals..(haha), bus rides, preseasons, and late night shenanigans. I am thankful that my parents, David and Karen Gaetani, my Aunt Mary-jo King, and my late grandfather Charlie King who would come and support, encourage, and cheer at home and away games, no matter the distance.
Sports Medicine Fighting Heart award 2005-2006, Outstanding team member 2007, NAC POW 11-04-08, Coaches Award 2008,ECAC team runner-up 2007, NAC conference team runner-up 2008, shared captain for 2007-8 seasons. Currently ranked 8th in individual career leader in offense
Since I graduated from SJC in 2009, I have been employed at Washington Academy. For the first four years of my employment I was a Residential Faculty member and assistant dorm director, taught Physical Education and Personal Fitness, and started a Varsity Boys and Girls Outdoor Track and Field Program. For the past four years, I created and developed a Cultural Dance class, that has progressed into a full-time Cultural Dance program. I am also a V.P. for Dance through the Maine Association for Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. I currently serve as the Fine Arts Depart Chair Head at WA, and head coach for Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country and Boys and Girls Outdoor Track and Field.
My home is in Whiting, Maine, on Gardners Lake, with my husband Harry and favorite yellow lab, Drake. I live down the road from my mother and father in law, Marie and Craig. We enjoy having family dinners and get-togethers with my husband's brother and sister, Pat and Lauren. I also enjoy spending time with my brother, Garrett (SJC alum) and his beautiful wife, Nicole have two handsome sons, who I love being an auntie to!
I love spending summers up to camp on Cold Stream Pond with my family, swimming, fishing, boating, and having cookouts. I really enjoy traveling, experiencing different cultures, and making new memories.
