Kyle was a standout pitcher for Noble High School in Berwick,
Maine where he played for Rusty Mercier.
This crafty left hander was captain of his team and finished with a
3.01 ERA while facing all of the toughest competition in the
Telegram League. Kyle was a Second Team All-State selection and was
also selected for the Maine Senior All-Star game. Kyle has
everything it takes to be a successful starting pitcher at the
college level, a live fastball, sharp breaking curve ball, and he
is developing a fine change up.
As a freshman for Saint Joseph's College in 2007 Kyle had some fine
outings. Kyle finished with a 4-1 record and a 4.15 era as he
provided some key wins for the Monks down the stretch. As a
sophomore Kyle was 2-1 with a 3.06 ERA. Look for Kyle to play an
even bigger role in 2009 as he should challenge to pitch at the top
of the SJC rotation.
Kyle is the son of Vicki and Ed Dorr of Berwick, Maine.
