A fine example for his teammates with outstanding leadership qualities, Stephen Gorsun will serve as a captain for St. Joe's during his senior season. Stephan played his high school baseball at Marshwood High School in South Berwick, Maine.

Steve's speed, versatility and positive attitude make him a key asset for the Monks. In his tenure at St. Joe's Stephan has played a backup role in the outfield and is often the first pinch runner off the bench for Coach Sanborn. The Monks skipper on Steve; "Steve is an important member of our ball club. He has many leadership qualities both on and off the field. It is very valuable to be able to bring someone off the bench whom you can trust to run the bases wisely. Steve also plays a solid outfield and is a contact hitter who can handle the bat. Stephan is a great student and is well respected on campus - he is a fine example for our younger players."

Stephan is the son of Charlie and Patty Gorsun of South Berwick, Maine.
