Ben came to Saint Joseph's College after a fine career at Biddeford High School and St. Louis legion where he played for Jason Crepeau.

Ben was an All-State selection his senior year when he batted .488 and was his team MVP. Next Ben moved to Tilton Preparatory School where he won the Evergreen League batting title and MVP while hitting .549. Ben transferred to Saint Joseph's College in January of 2007 after a semester at Longwood University in Virginia.

As a freshman for St. Joe's Ben had a fine first year, hitting .327 with 26 RBIs and 23 runs scored. As a sophomore Ben hit in the middle of the order and had a great year - batting .367 with 41 RBI - en route to being named to the GNAC All-Conference First Team. Coach Sanborn looks for Ben to play an even bigger role in 2009 as he will be a key weapon in the Monks offensive machine. Ben will play first base and occasionally DH or play third base.

Ben is the son of Dan Roy and Susan Grant of Biddeford, Maine.
