Andrew was a key part of the resurgence of Westbrook High
baseball under the leadership of coach John Eisenhart. During his
senior year in 2005 Andrew helped lead the Blue Blazes to the State
Championship game. Both a pitcher and first baseman with a strong
bat, Andrew was named Westbrook MVP, First Team All-Conference, and
he was an All-State selection.
As a freshman at St. Joe's Andrew had an outstanding year on the
mound. He was 4-2 with 2 saves and a 3.46 era in 14 appearances.
His outstanding control is a key to his success - he walked only 6
batters in 54 innings! For his efforts Andrew was named 2007 Saint
Joseph's College Baseball Rookie of the Year. As a sophomore Andrew
was a key player in the Monks GNAC Championship run and was named
the GNAC Tournament MVP and Saint Joseph's College Pitcher of the
Year. Look for Andrew to be a key contributor as a part of the St.
Joe's starting rotation in 2009.
Andrew is the son of Sally-Alane Fox and Dwight Keirstead of
Westbrook, Maine.
