Ian came to Saint Joseph's College after a fine career at Hampden Academy under former St. Joe's assistant coach David Shapiro. As a senior, Ian was a finalist for the Maine Mr. Baseball Award, named the PVC Player of the Year and a member of the All-Maine All-Star Team. Ian was a four-time First Team All-PVC selection and also was named All-Conference in Golf and Hockey as a senior at Hampden Academy. Ian transferred to St. Joe's after a redshirt year at the University of Maine-Orono.

Ian had an outstanding year in his first season with the Monks. The catcher hit .341 with 33 RBI and was named Saint Joseph's College and Great Northeast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year. Look for Ian, also an All-Conference Second Team selection, to play a big role if the Monks are to repeat as GNAC Champs.

Ian is the son of Susan and David Lee of Hampden, Maine.
