Pat, a transfer from the University of Maine-Orono, was a two-year captain at Hampden Academy under former St. Joe's assistant coach David Shapiro. While at Hampden, was the recipient of the PVC Pitcher of the Year Award as a senior (2005) and earned First Team All-PVC honors all four years. In 2005, Pat was named the Zone 1 American Legion Player of the Year. Pat was a key member of the 2005 Class A State Championship Basketball team. Pat is a hard-throwing right handed pitcher who possesses great command and an excellent curveball.

In his first year at St. Joe's Pat was 4-5 with a 3.88 ERA while drawing all of the Monks top opponents. A two-way player, Pat also hit .328 with 14 RBI. Look for this two-way player to anchor the pitching staff and hit in the middle in the lineup for the Monks in 2009.

Pat is the son of Timothy & Kathy Moran of Winterport, Maine.
