Chris played his high school baseball for Bernie Gaughan at Clinton High School. A fine student and member of the National Honor Society, Chris was a two-time Mid-Wach All Star selection. Long time Saint Joseph's Baseball fans will be interested to learn that Chris comes highly recommended by former SJC outfield standout Peter McNally ('95) - also of Clinton, Massachusetts.

As a freshman for St. Joe's in 2007 Chris had limited appearances - mostly on the JV squad. Chris worked hard to develop as a college pitcher - and it payed off as a sophomore as he was played a bigger role and finished 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA. Look for this big right handed pitcher to play a larger role for the royal blue in 2009 as he will most likely be one of the top arms out of the pen for Coach Sanborn.

Chris is the son of Gail and James Nanof of Clinton, Massachusetts.
