Mason came to St. Joe's after a successful high school career at Franklin High School in Franklin, NH. As a senior Mason was named to the All-State Team, and was also Co-Player of the Year for the Class M Division in New Hampshire. Mason also pitched in the New Hampshire-Maine Senior Game played at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine. Mason was a three-sport star at Franklin HS where he also played football and was a 1,000-point scorer as a member of the basketball team.

As a freshman Mason had an outstanding season, finishing at 6-2 with a 4.07 ERA. Look for Mason to be a key component of the St. Joe's starting rotation in 2009.

Mason is the son of Kim and Jim Roberge of Franklin, New Hampshire.
